Punta Cana

July 26, 2017 by Jae Leave a Comment

So around June my boyfriend and I flew to Punta cana for my friend’s wedding. But before the flight, I was worried if I brought enough clothes or cash and I don’t know what to bring. I try to pack light but then again it’s up to anyone’s preference. I learned so much from the trip and I wanna share what to bring to Punta cana. First think tropical. what do you bring to a beach resort? So here’s a list of what I brought for our 7-day trip:

-1 pair of sunglasses (up to you how many sunglasses you want to bring.. if you’re the type to mix and match)

-swimsuits. I only brought 3 (for a 7-day trip and had to wash it so I can use on another day. Again, you can bring as many as you want to because you’ll be at the beach most of the time)

-cover ups, 1 hat, 2 pairs of beach slippers

-beach bag that is waterproof

-suntan lotion, Off mosquito spray (this is important I got bitten by mosquitoes in the evening there’s a lot!)

-make-up, comb, toothbrush, toothpaste

-clothes: brought 3pairs of shorts and 7 cute tops + 2 dresses, underwears

-i brought running shoes, socks and gym clothes because there’s a gym at our resort

-accessories (simple jewelry), hair accesories, 1 everyday bag

-curlers (I can’t live without! or straighteners for some)

-tampons/sanitary pads (girl scout)

-money (you don’t need Dominican Pesos just US dollars is fine. they like US dollars and bring a lot of 1 dollars for tipping)

-medicine: for diarrhea, pain, fever, and whatever you think you might need)

-PS. soaps, shampoos and towels our resort provided it for us but it’s up to your preference

-GoPro camera is more than enough but again, whatever camera to bring is your preference

and that’s just about it.. It all fitted in one check in luggage..

But wait!! there are things I wish i had brought with me and these are:

-1 big mug (for the unlimited drinks that way you dont have to go back at the bar and ask for more)

– I wish I had brought more cute floral dresses (it doesn’t have to be floral)  so it looks more better to dine at restaurants

-cute sandals to match the dresses (hehe)

Well my friend brought her own blanket because the blankets at the resort are kinda rough (again, up to you)

So after the stress-free packing, Let’s fly!! We stayed at Grand Palladium Resort (all inclusive) and luckily, got upgraded to Royal suite. It was a beautiful Resort and the staff are very friendly. We did some excursions outside the resort which we had it booked by the staff at the resort. Of course you have to pay extra for excursions. We had a fun time but the only thing I wish I had known sooner is to book the restaurants one day before you want it to make reservations because before you know it, everything is fully booked. Also plan your day-to day activities with your friends so you make the most out of your vacation. I hope this helps. Some pictures below and peace out!

First Stop Banff

March 12, 2016 by Jae Leave a Comment

Around September 2015, My boyfriend and I decided to go to Banff and that was the first time we traveled out of town together. It was a bit chilly but it was all worth it since I love nature tripping and the company.

We stayed at Hidden Ridge Resort and they have hot springs (happiness!). We did a bit of grocery just to avoid eating out too much and spending more. It was actually a nice experience with the boyfie because I learned I can never go hungry with him around… Yes! he can cook superb! We had a nice stay there. It’s good to travel with your boyfriend that way you get to know more about each other.

First time to use crampons (athabasca glacier)

So far it is one of the best experience in my entire existence but actually anywhere is okay as long as I am with my love. I had fun and the best part, we didn’t get eaten by bears. Shout out to my baby boo! Someone whose presence will always be more than enough.. I love you <3 ESY. peace out!
